Subtitle lines, not blocks
The engine returns 30-second blocks. We re-cut them on the pauses in the speech, within the length and reading-speed limits subtitles are held to.
The video stays with you
MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI up to 1 GB — the audio track is extracted in your browser, so only sound is ever uploaded.
About the MicroDVD format
MicroDVD (.sub) is a frame-based format from the DivX era — cues are bound to frame numbers instead of clock time. Many older hardware players and subtitle archives still use it, and almost no online converter can produce it from audio.
Opens in: classic DivX-era players, SubtitleEdit, VLC (with FPS set).
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert audio to MicroDVD?
Upload your file (MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, WMA up to 75 MB — or a video up to 1 GB), let the language auto-detect, press Start Transcription and download the .sub file. The whole flow takes under a minute for typical files.
Which other formats do I get from the same upload?
All of them: plain text, SRT, VTT, ASS, SSA, MicroDVD, MPL2 and TMP come from a single transcription — individually or as one ZIP archive.
How much does it cost?
Your first 2 files are free with no account, and a free account gives you 3 every month. After that, plans start at $2/month for 20 transcriptions — every subtitle format and free translation are included in each one.
Are my files stored anywhere?
No. Audio streams straight through to the recognition engine and is never written to disk; transcript texts are erased from our servers within 1 hour. Your lasting copy stays in your own browser.
